Meet the OPSU Mens Basketball Team Luncheon
Getting to know your neighbors is important to having a cohesive and positive community. Celebrating with your neighbors brings enjoyment and shares it. Encouraging your neighbors brings happiness.
You have the opportunity to do each of these by meeting the Oklahoma Panhandle State University mens and womens basketball teams on Wed., Jan. 4 at the Pub on the Bricks in Guymon for lunch. It is a time to celebrate the fact that they are in the Oklahoma Panhandle, representing each of us on the basketball court and to encourage the teams early in their season.
The Dutch Treat lunch begins at noon and everyone interested is welcome to attend. If you want to help by buying one or two of the players meals, it would be greatly appreciated. The event is a joint effort by the Guymon Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Guymon.
“When all the other students are home for the holidays,” explains Main Street Guymon Director Melyn Johnson, “it’s not easy being on campus. This is the perfect time for us to shake a hand, say hi, and help them have a nice holiday. We would want someone to do that for our kids if they were away from home.”
